FEARLESS PRODUCTIONS was founded in 2001 by a trio of recent graduates of the drama department at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Since its inception, Fearless Productions has grown into a cooperative of young theatre professionals interested in creating important, exciting, bold theatre.

Fearless Productions debuted in November 2001 with ...everything but blue, an evening of original songs by composer/lyricist Adam Gwon, presented at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre under the direction of Courtney Phelps. The songs of ...everything but blue were subsequently recorded as an acclaimed CD of the same name, produced by Fearless Productions and featuring the talents of a host of young Broadway singers.

Next, Fearless Productions presented John Osborne's Look Back in Anger, directed by Courtney Phelps. A successful run at the Producer's Club marked Fearless Productions' first full-length production.

July 2003 marked the first incarnation of Lulu, a new musical by Adam Gwon and Courtney Phelps. An hour-long preview of selections from the work-in-development broke box office and attendance records at Upstairs @ RED, a showcase venue for emerging writers, playing to standing room-only audiences for two evenings.

On May 17, 2004, Fearless Productions produced the first public reading of Lulu in its entirety at the 45 Bleecker Theatre.

Fearless Productions is currently at work on the world premiere production of Lulu, being presented in the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival and the 2004 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
